Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026
CueBlend respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, stored and shared when you use the CueBlend mobile application, the website at cueblend.app, and associated CueBlend services.
Who we are
CueBlend is operated by Pittance Ltd, based in the United Kingdom.
For the purposes of applicable data protection law, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), Pittance Ltd is the data controller for personal information processed by CueBlend unless stated otherwise.
Privacy enquiries can be sent to info@cueblend.app.
What CueBlend does
CueBlend is a content creation application that helps users turn videos, images, recordings and written content into social-media-ready content such as image carousels, captions and other creative material.
CueBlend may use transcription, optical character recognition (OCR), artificial intelligence and other processing technologies to provide features selected by the user.
CueBlend can also connect to third-party platforms such as TikTok when a user chooses to connect their account and publish or transfer content.
Information we collect
Account information
If you create a CueBlend account, we may process information including your email address, account identifier, authentication information and information required to manage your account.
Passwords and authentication credentials are handled using secure authentication systems and are not intentionally stored by CueBlend in readable plain-text form.
Content you provide
When you use CueBlend, you may choose to provide photos, videos, audio recordings, written text and other media.
This may include:
- Content selected from your device
- Content captured using your camera or microphone
- Videos imported into CueBlend
- Text entered by you
- Audio or speech contained within videos
- Images containing written text
CueBlend may generate additional information from this content, including transcripts, OCR-extracted text, captions, rewritten text, slides, rendered images and other generated content.
Much of CueBlend's project and draft information is designed to remain stored locally on your device.
Where a feature requires server-side processing or transfer to another service, the relevant content or derived information may be securely transmitted for that purpose.
Camera, microphone and photo library access
Some CueBlend features require access to your device's camera, microphone, photos or media library.
For example, CueBlend's recording and Autocue features may use the camera and microphone to record a video, while other features allow you to select existing photos or videos.
CueBlend only requests these permissions when they are required for a feature that uses them. You can control these permissions through your device settings.
Granting permission does not mean that CueBlend automatically uploads your entire photo library, camera library or other media collection.
Transcription, OCR and AI processing
When you request transcription, text extraction, rewriting or other AI-assisted features, CueBlend may process the relevant audio, video, images or text either on your device or using secure external processing services.
Only information needed to perform the requested feature is sent for external processing.
CueBlend does not use private user content to build advertising profiles or sell it to advertisers.
We may use specialist technology providers to perform services such as speech transcription, artificial intelligence processing or cloud computing on CueBlend's behalf.
TikTok information
If you choose to connect your TikTok account, CueBlend uses TikTok's authorised developer interfaces.
Depending on the permissions you approve, CueBlend may receive information such as your TikTok account identifier, basic account information, authentication tokens, permissions you have granted and information relating to content submitted through CueBlend.
Authentication tokens required to maintain the TikTok connection may be stored securely on CueBlend's server infrastructure rather than directly within the application.
When you choose to publish or transfer content to TikTok, CueBlend may provide TikTok with the images, video, captions, metadata or other content necessary to complete that request.
CueBlend will only use TikTok information for functionality that you have authorised.
Connecting TikTok is optional. You can disconnect or revoke CueBlend's access to your TikTok account.
Information subsequently processed by TikTok is also subject to TikTok's own privacy practices and terms.
Purchases and subscriptions
CueBlend may offer paid subscriptions or other purchases through Apple App Store or Google Play.
Payments are processed by the relevant app store or payment provider. CueBlend does not receive or store your complete credit card or debit card details.
CueBlend may receive transaction information such as your subscription status, product purchased, transaction identifier, entitlement status and information necessary to verify and manage your purchase.
CueBlend may use a subscription management provider to help verify and manage app-store subscriptions.
Technical and diagnostic information
When you use CueBlend, limited technical information may be processed automatically.
This can include:
- Device type
- Operating system
- App version
- IP address
- Server request information
- Error information
- Authentication events
- Diagnostic information required to operate, secure and troubleshoot the service
Where crash or diagnostic services are used, they are used to identify errors, maintain reliability and improve CueBlend.
We do not use this information to create advertising profiles about you.
Website information
When you visit cueblend.app, our hosting systems may automatically process standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, requested pages and server logs.
The website may use cookies or similar technologies where necessary for its operation.
CueBlend does not intentionally use non-essential cookies for behavioural advertising or cross-site tracking without providing any consent mechanism required by applicable law.
If analytics or other website technologies are introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy and any required cookie controls will be updated accordingly.

- Create and manage projects
- Perform transcription and OCR
- Provide AI-assisted features
- Render and export content
- Connect your TikTok account

We do not sell your personal information.
We do not sell photos, videos, recordings, transcripts or other user-created content.
Legal bases for processing
Where UK or European data protection law applies, CueBlend relies on different lawful bases depending on the processing involved.
Information necessary to provide CueBlend is generally processed because it is required to perform our contract with you.
Certain optional processing may be based on your consent, including access controlled through device permissions or third-party account authorisation.
Security, fraud prevention, service reliability and limited technical diagnostics may be processed where necessary for our legitimate interests in operating and protecting CueBlend, provided those interests do not override your rights.
Information may also be processed where necessary to comply with a legal obligation.
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before consent was withdrawn.
Service providers and sharing
CueBlend may use trusted third-party service providers to operate parts of the service.
These may include:
- Cloud hosting and storage providers
- Authentication providers
- Transcription and artificial intelligence processing providers
- Subscription management services
- App-store operators
- Security and diagnostic services
- Services that you intentionally connect to CueBlend
These providers may process information only where necessary to provide their services to CueBlend or where you have specifically instructed CueBlend to send information to them.
When you explicitly choose to publish content to TikTok or another external platform, information required to perform that action is transferred to that platform at your direction.
We may also disclose information where we reasonably believe this is required by law, regulation, court order or another valid legal process, or where necessary to protect CueBlend, our users or others from fraud, abuse or security threats.
CueBlend does not sell personal information to third parties.
International data transfers
Some of our technology providers may process information outside the United Kingdom.
Where personal information is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate protections are in place as required by applicable data protection law.
These protections may include adequacy regulations, recognised contractual safeguards or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
Account information is normally retained while your CueBlend account remains active.
Project files and drafts that are stored locally remain on your device until you delete them, delete the application, clear its data or use a CueBlend feature that removes them.
Media temporarily uploaded for processing, transcription, content generation or publishing is intended to be retained only for as long as necessary to complete the requested operation and is not intended to form a permanent cloud media library unless a feature expressly tells you otherwise.
TikTok authentication information is retained only while required to maintain the connection, unless it expires, is revoked, you disconnect TikTok or your CueBlend account is deleted.
Subscription and transaction records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling and legal obligations.
Security logs and technical records may be retained for a limited period where reasonably necessary to protect the service and investigate technical or security issues.
When information is deleted from active systems, limited residual copies may remain temporarily in secure backups until those backups are overwritten or expire.
Some information may need to be retained for longer where required by law or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Account and data deletion
You can request deletion of your CueBlend account and associated personal information.
Account deletion will be available from within CueBlend and through our website at:
https://cueblend.app/delete-account/
When an account deletion request is completed, CueBlend will delete or anonymise personal information associated with the account unless retention is required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting or dispute-resolution purposes.
Deleting your CueBlend account does not automatically delete content that you have already published to an external service such as TikTok. Content that has already been transferred to another platform must also be managed through that platform.
Deleting CueBlend from your device does not necessarily constitute an account deletion request.
Disconnecting TikTok
You can stop CueBlend from accessing your TikTok account by disconnecting TikTok within CueBlend where that option is available, revoking CueBlend through your TikTok account settings, or deleting your CueBlend account.
Once access has been revoked, CueBlend will no longer use the revoked authorisation to access your TikTok account.
Security
CueBlend uses reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against accidental loss, unauthorised access, misuse, alteration or disclosure.
Information transmitted between CueBlend and its servers or service providers is transmitted using encrypted network connections where appropriate.
No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but we continuously aim to minimise the information we collect and restrict access to information that must be processed.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to your personal information.
Under UK data protection law these may include the right to:
- Request access to your personal information
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of information
- Request restriction of processing
- Object to certain processing
- Receive certain information in a portable format
- Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent
You may exercise these rights by contacting info@cueblend.app.
We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
If you are in the United Kingdom and believe that your data protection rights have been infringed, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Children's privacy
CueBlend is not designed as a service specifically directed at young children.
Users must meet any minimum age requirements applicable to CueBlend, the relevant app store and any third-party service they choose to connect, including TikTok.
If we become aware that personal information has been collected from a child in circumstances where parental consent or another legal basis was required and was not obtained, we will take appropriate steps to delete that information.
Third-party services
CueBlend may contain links to or integrations with third-party applications and websites.
This Privacy Policy applies to CueBlend's handling of information. Third-party services operate under their own privacy policies and terms, and CueBlend is not responsible for their independent privacy practices.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when CueBlend changes, when we introduce new features or service providers, or when legal or regulatory requirements change.
The latest version will always be published on cueblend.app and the date at the top of this policy will show when it was last updated.
If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice where required by law.
